Going into Saturday’s city rivalry vs Saginaw High, Chris Smith was a believer of his talents and what he can accomplish on the court. A few hours later the whole city of Saginaw became believers in what the 6-6 sophomore can do!
Smith dominated the game and was a bully on the glass as he racked up 25 points and 22 rebounds to give The Hill a 68-63 win. It took a dominating performance from the sophomore to give his Jacks their first win over The High since March of 2015.
Arthur Hill has had a roller coaster season, but understandably so with 3 sophomores and 1 freshman in the starting line-up. Smith, who is currently ranked #5 in the Next Gen 2022 state rankings, is hitting his stride and so are his Jacks.
Smith hasn’t even reached the half way point of his high school career, and showed Saturday that when he is playing his best ball, that The Hill can play and beat anyone in the state.
